@ op,
Do yourself a favor and stop trying to calm the situation down. The rampant speculation, the fearmongering, the mob mentality, and forum lynch mobs pretty much ensured this will only end one of two ways. Eve will either survive this or it won't. I would like to believe that it will, but it is looking more like it will not. All we can do now is wait and see what happens.

Then sit in your corner and cry, I for one have a spine and some balls and I will be damned if I will let the idiots tear this place down without a fight, not the ones in here or the ones at CCP. And to the other poster, asking how you coerce with a one inch knife, never have an argument with a surgeon.
Do you think your the only one who whas tried to voice concerns that this whole issue of undirected rage? The majority of the people from that side of the anti-mt arguement seem to believe is the only way to get anything changed is to go about it in the way they have been/currently are. (yes i'm aware that its much more than just the mt issue but for the sake of ease I'll simply refer to it as anti-mt)
It may have started out to get honest changes out of ccp to fix the game, but now it has most likely caused more harm than good. I have no intention of sitting in the corner and crying as it were. I am supporting ccp in the only I see that doesnt actually cause harm, not ending my subscription. No, I do not care for the items from the nex store and most likely will not until new ship skins are released. I do not have any particular love or animosity towards cq, though I would rather they fix lag, graphics, and other currently existing gameplay issues.
The more militant voices from both sides of the argument can call me any number of names they wish, that is my stance and I am not changing it. If eve is to go down in flames, well at least I can say I stuck by it to the end, because there have only been two of the other mmos out there that managed to hold my attention as long as eve did.

+1
The protests - in whatever form - are a mere shadow of what they were at the weekend. If the OP had made his posts back then, great, but NOW? Jita/Amarr are nowhere near blocked and the Local Channel is getting very little rage. The MASS-PROTEST channel comprises a couple of hundred people - down from 700 to 800 as I recall - and they are mostly just hanging out, shooting the breeze whilst waiting for the next blurb from CCP. Nothing to see here, people.
This thread probably would have been buried as others were at that time.

people please dont turn this thread into another flamewar. There already more than enough of those running rampant and being counterproductive to what both sides on this want, to not see Eve die.
